Fruit Festival Subsidy Scheme

Maharashtra is an important Fruits and Vegetables producing state in the country.

To reduce the chain of middleman Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB) has started "Producer to Consumer Direct Sale" scheme. Which helps in better returns to farmers for their produce and ultimately beneficial to consumers as they gets the produce at reasonable rate. Through this scheme farmers can sale their produce directly to the consumers. To boost this idea of direct marketing and getting platform to the farmers at more places MSAMB has started Fruit Festival Subsidy Scheme

Features of the scheme -

  • This scheme is only applicable for registered Co -operative societies/APMCs/Self Helf Groups in the state.
  • Scheme is applicable for organizing festivals of fresh fruits, vegetables and processed agro products only.
  • Duration of festival must be minimum 5 days
  • Fruit festival subsidy is available on the stall basis @ Rs. 1000/- per stall  in the cities like Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nashik, Amravati, Nagpur, Solapur, Kolhapur and for other places @ Rs. 700/- per stall.
  • Additional subsidy of Rs. 10,000/- for cities having Municipal Corporation and for other cities Rs. 5,000/- would be given for advertising and propaganda of festival.
  • Subsidy is applicable only for 10 to 50 stalls.
  • In principle approval from MSAMB before organizing the festival is compulsory.
  • For getting the benefit of subsidy, festival organizer has to submit documents to the MSAMB regarding amount paid by festival organizer to the contractor for erection of stalls or pendals, bills of advertising and propaganda.
  • Any organization will get financial benefit of this scheme only twice in one financial year.
  • It is mandatory to highlight MSAMB as co sponsor in advertising and propaganda of fruit festival.
  • If MSAMB has to participate in fruit festival, organizer will have to arrange free stall to MSAMB.
  • MSAMB publish "Krishi Panan Mitra"(KPM) monthly magazine which includes valuable information on domestic as well as export marketing of agricultural produce. Organizer should help for increasing subscribers for K.P.M.
  • After fruit festival organizer would has to submit detail report and selected photographs of festival to publish in the K.P.M.
  • It is compulsory to submit stall wise daily sells report of fruit festival to MSAMB.
