POLY-HOUSE PROJECT (PSOM PROJECT)

PSOM means project support for upgrading the marketing. It promotes hi-tech horticulture activity among farmers of the State. PSOM project is implemented with technical support from Innovation and Practical Training Centre (IPC), Ede, the Netherlands and funded with a grant from the Netherlands Government. Under this project a rotating fund is established to provide loan for construction of scientific and modern poly houses by the farmers. The farmer beneficiary under the scheme is to repay the loan received within a stipulated time period so that the funds can be used or rotated to fund more beneficiary farmers.

Through rotating fund farmers receive 80% loan @ 6% interest and the remaining 20% is put in by the participants in the scheme. The MSAMB has seven modern polyhouses 1 shednet,1polyshednet & 1 glass house under the project at Talegaon Dabhade to give technical training to the participants. Each poly house has an area of 576 sq. m. and used for growing of cut flowers such as Gerbera and Carnation, for teaching and demonstration.
