Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board is an ISO 9001:2000 Certified Organization.

Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB), Pune has received an ISO 9001:2000 certification. MSAMB is the first Marketing Board in the country to get an ISO certification. Due to this certification, activities carried by MSAMB has got International reorganization.

ISO 9001:2000 is stand for Quality Management System (QMS). For implementation of QMS Customer Satisfaction, Continual Improvement, Accountability, Quality, Timeliness, Systematic Approach and Transparency these factors are taken into consideration.

Considering the requirement of Farmers, APMCs and Market Functionaries MSAMB is working for APMC Infrastructure Development, Domestic Marketing, Export Promotion, Consultancy, Farmers Training, APMC Computerization and Market Intelligence.

MSAMB has obtained ISO 9001-2000 to improve the Quality of Work, Continual Improvement, Accountability, Systematic Approach and Transparency in Day to Day Activities.

For this ISO 9001-2000 System has been implemented in daily activities of 14 departments of MSAMB, during last 7-8 months. ISO Certification Body has checked implementation of ISO System in day to day activities of 14 departments in two stages of Audit. Since, there was no single Minor/Major Non Conformity, MSAMB has got ISO 9001-2000 Certification.

This certification will be useful for providing Quality & Timely Services to Farmers, APMCS, Market Functionaries in the State and to review the work done.

Hon`ble. Chairman of MSAMB has provided guidance in this regard as and when required. Similarly, Managing Director, General Manager, Dy. General Manager and All Staff Members have taken efforts for this achievement.
